No problem. I was just trying to say that Tyson was busy with his mandatories and that Holyfield was building his place in the ratings (and his stature as a heavy) at that time.

I agree with you, but I think challengers earned their place mostly by elimination during Tyson's reign. And they were supposed to face at first in June of 1988. Bruno last fight at that time was in October of 1987, which was a reasonable 8 months before a title challenge.

I agree. But they needed time to build up the fight and they would have fought if the disaster in Tokyo didn't happen.

You are right. I mistakenly thought that the OP asked about who was the most dominant/impressive during fights, not reign.

The same could be said for Louis' results against a lot of their competition as well. He wouldn't have lost to Frazier, Norton, Spinks, Berbick. He wouldn't have lost to Moorer, Ruiz, Toney. He wouldn't have lost to Douglas, McBride, Williams, probably not to the Evander that Mike fought either.

In my lifetime it has to be Tyson.
86-90 . Unless you experienced it first hand he was seen as being from another existence. Revision and what came later tends to pour water on the flames of that 4 year period.
Ali was dominant true, but not with the level of terror or menace.

Wlad barely lost a round in a decade. He deserves a mention.

By far the most excusable resume hole of all time though.

Have two brothers ever fought for a title, in any division?

I've addressed this earlier in this thread.
