After Chavez late rally it got me thinking about other dramatic 12th rounds and espcially the Froch vs Taylor except Froch obviously pulled it off! Here's a couple great ones: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7f7e1RKjYw&feature=player_embedded[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgenYK7VaxY[/ame] who wasnt thinking about this sunday morning? Involving British fighters: Andries/Harding I Nelson/McDonnell Bruno/McCall Jacobs/Whitaker Benn/GalvanoII
Oscars left hook! Annoyed that i missed the rise of Oscar, what a entertaining fighter. To think people in the general will tell you Oscar is a overrated fighter!
I just watched that froch/taylor round. I must have seen that nearly 10 times and it still gets me going every time.
Chavez - Taylor I was spectacular in the last round, but Taylor was on the slide for a couple of rounds at least before then.
Taylor could have been pulled after the 11th IMO. What Duva was playing at telling him he needed the 12th for I'll never know. And then denying what he'd said to this day too...
Remember that if the fight had gone to the cards, Taylor would of 'only' won a split decision. Sometimes people think Taylor was walking it, they forget by Duva's own admission, Taylor had "swallowed a pint and a half of his own blood". Chavez was very much in the fight and if the match was over proper 'championship distance', there would of been no hint of controversy.

I thought Taylor won seven or eight of the eleven completed rounds, but he had to do plenty to win most of them. A couple of the rounds were pretty one-sided but like you say, no controversy. Steele counted, Taylor wasn't ready to continue and was rightly stopped. If he'd fought smarter in the last minute/45 seconds of that round he'd have got to the bell.
