    Spinks v. Tyson

Seems like there was so much buildup...and then....KABOOM!

    Get a grip on reality.

Running out of gas? I am pretty sure that stamina is something that trainers emphasise in boxing.

Tyson simply was not good enough to beat Douglas when they fought. And Tyson was also given notice in advance of the date for the fight.

I live in the real world, not fantasy land.

I could invent all sorts of excuses for Lewis losing two fights, but I do not want to.

this prob wont mean much to many of you guys, but what about kiko martinez koing bernard dunne after 84 seconds and 2 knockdowns of the first round in his own backyard for the EBU superbantamweight title.was pretty funny because of how great bernard thought he was,and he got destroyed by a guy with a record of beating on absolute bums.

Yes of course. And of course your argument is proved by the fact Douglas beat Tyson right?

    Riddle me this.

How many more title wins and title fights did Douglas have after this.
How many more title wins and title fights did Rahman have after Lewis 1.

There is no doubt Rahman is not the worst comp to KO a heavyweight champ. The very fact he won a piece of the title back about 5 years later should tell you that.

Douglas is probably not the worst either.

Rahmans against Oleg was pretty funny/embarrasing. Oleg's hardly a world beat either.

Moorers against Foreman was embarrasing. A 45 yr old one shot merchant, lands his one shot........ look at Foremans comp afterwards, hardly inspiring.

Personally, I'd go Tim Witherspoon against Bonecrusher Smith. (KTFO in 1)
Or Floyd Patterson as previously stated.

Not only that, it happened TWICE.:patsch

    Don't forget Oliver McCall's punch-out of Lewis in 1994!!!!

So Tyson was not talented enough to apply himself.

    What is your point?

Ps. I would be undisputed ruler of the world if I applied myself.

And guys, using block capitals does not make your words any more correct.

That goes for you too, Zak.

I also thought if you added this...

    :deal

it made your argument even more correct. Have I been mistaken?

Bull****, Holyfield was shot and done and it wasn't even close to a 1 punch knockout. He basically pushed Holyfield down after beating on him for the whole fight.
