Gatti for ring action. But the showmanship of prime Naz and prime Eubank was something else. It took over Britain in the mid 90s. Then add into that everyone's favourite gentle giant and you had a trio of boxers across 3 weight classes that made boxing wildly popular in England. Despite being by far the best of Britain, Lewis didn't get the love or adoration of those. In a similar vein, Hattonania during the early thousands made boxing wildly popular in Manchester. He absolutely captured the hearts for the working class North.
Tommy Hearns, he was either knocking somebody the **** out, or getting wobbled with the spaghetti legs, often both, a truly great Kronk fighter. Nigel Benn was also a good watch for similar reasons, the guy was at his most dangerous when he was hurt.
Nowhere near as comparable to some of the fighters listed but I always liked to watch Jean Pascal fight. Was in some good fights.
Middleweights Frank Fletcher and "Caveman" Lee were both must see TV back in the day. This content is protected This content is protected
As far as electricity in the air before the opening bell, I’ve never experienced anything like a Tyson fight before or since. As far as in the ring drama and consistent back and forth Gatti
Roy Jones ? Nothing to add here.. Usyk - he is always smaller and there were moments in fights when I thought that he was going downhill, but after few rounds, he adjusts and gets back sharper and fresh, and destroys his opponent mentally and physically. other are of course legends - i would like to mention sexy Sergio with low guard, great footwork and power which could end fight in second. It's weird to mention Floyd Jr., but his early fights were really entertaining, like vs. Augustus, Gatti, Corrales, or watching JMM fighting with air. Pacman must be mentioned, all his fights are entertaining IMO. I would also like to mention Khan who was tasting canvas every fight multiple times but came back with lighting fast combinations, it was really fun to watch. I like to watch fast handed fighters, so there is Judah, Mosley, Calzaghe, De La Hoya etc..
Floyd during the pretty boy era when he got power to pop them punches. Roid Jones jr. Holyfield when he got on that roided rage and starts to brawl with every boxer ignorin the gameplan lmao. I would say b4 when he started using more the head cuz he wuz kinda annoying to watch after a while Donaire, Inoue, Nakatani, what a trio... Tyson, Chavez and Duran b4 the partying Tank despite havin' entire career cherrypicked Pac from Ledwaba to Margarito Alì first heavyweight reign got no misses Foreman 1st career
