I used to hold firm to the belief that you dont give out even rounds, and that somebody won. Lately as I score more fights I have began giving even rounds, as I also have been watching fights that are a judges nightmare. I think I have only ever scored 2 even rounds at most in a single fight and this is 10 and 12 not 15 rounders which had more id imagine But like in a theoretical scenario if 2 guys stand toe to toe and none ever go to the ropes or corner, neither is cut bruised or apparently hurt, and they land in similar numbers if not punch for punch who gets the round? I mean you look at the stats and its like 15 of 40 to like 16 of 41 and a balance of jabs and power shots for both guys and neither strategically has his gameplan work or does real damage does anybody take that round? So my question is what is the most even rounds you have given Do you typically give out an even round in a fight? Do you not believe in giving even rounds? Have you ever watched a total stinker that neither guy deserved a round or a total barnburner where they were toe to toe and no man had the advantage?
Keeping it in UK HWT's I read an author stating that Skelton-Williams 1 he made like 4 of the rounds even cause it was dull and nothing happened
You could have scored a lot of even rounds in Froch vs Dirrell. If Dirrell had bothered turning up he'd have beat Froch 118-110 or something similar, I was in a good seat in the arena and was worried for Carl that night.
hopkins-taylor, i think the 2nd one if i rememeber right i scored some rounds even. still think hopkins won both fights. the scoring of the 8th round was for taylor when bhop won the round because taylor landed a punch at the end of the round. thats politics for ya.
The Kayode fight on Friday had plenty of very close or even rounds. I however had Kayode losing the fight, and judges had him running away with it, pure bull****. Anyways, yes plenty of tough rounds to score in that one.
The whole Marquez vs Barrera fight. There was a couple of clear rounds in that fight, but most of them were very very even and could have gone either way. The official cards were an absolute travesty of justice.
With 4 criteria and multiple camera angles and the benefits of replays - Something judges don't have - I can't remember the last round I scored even.
