This. I may not like his tactics in the ring but considering his mother was a crack addict and his father a functioning heroin addict the man has to be admired for his accomplishments and his decency.

Yeah he’s not a good man. The intense media training he’s received disguises it mostly - but the real AJ (Femi) can still be seen. Mostly in the ring but there’s one or two interviews/press conferences where it comes out.

There’s lots of interesting rumours about him too.. Dillian Whyte (who’s known AJ for years) has alluded to things many times in the past.

This is before mentioning the Eddie Chambers racism (which got hidden pretty well by his team) and the Amir Khan wife stuff.

Not a good man at all and I will always root for his opponent.

    What are you talking about?
Why do people call him "Femi" now?

Young Christopher Eubank Jr is a stone cold emotionless killer. The way he walked out giving absolutely no ****s in an arena full of angry Turks with the Union Flag and then just dismantled Yildirim. The way he comatosed Blackwell, did a post fight press conference and continues to destroy opponents with no ****s (even his father couldn't do that post Watson).

Not necessarily evil but Eubank is a robotic emotionless fighting machine.

Errr, then why did Ward sign the contract if Goossen didn't give him what he deserved? He must have had some other options too, but he chose to re-sign to Goossen. Why did he do that if the old man was such a thief? Ward knew him for 6 years. Ward is not dumb, he was not ****ed over by Goossen like Tyson was by Don King, otherwise he wouldn't have re-signed. And Goossen didn't break the contract either, that's why Ward lost the lawsuit three times. You try to defend Ward here, but you have no basis to do it, NONE.

I remember him saying a smile on his face that he hates it when the referee stops the fight because he'd like to keep beating them up. What a featherfist. Probably jealous of Triple D Dubois who puts his opponents down.

Agree. Kovalev reacted poorly. Should have been pissed but instead looked to the ref who waved it off.

Scott Harrison. Had the talent to be HOF level but instead decided to frequently assault his partner or pretty much anyone within punching distance. Was given many chances at redemption and failed them all miserably. Complete pos.

Dan Goosens family might not agree with such a blinkered appraisal

Ward may have been contractually bound, but Goossen could have shown some discretion and made himself open to some renegotiation to ensure the happiness of a star performer who'd won the Super Six for him since renewing their association (it wouldn't have been the first such instance in sports history). And while his lawyers and associates may have looked to exploit any angle they could, I've no reason to believe that Ward himself was ever anything less than civil in his appeals for a better deal. He's spoken of his affection for Dan's family, who I'm sure Dan left a nice legacy to. Ward wanted to do the same for his own family. It was a business dispute, nothing personal, and should have only the mildest bearing on any judgement of Ward's character, given what we know of the way he lives his life and the decency of his general conduct. I notice that nobody ever talks about Andre refusing to accept the cut to which he was legally entitled from Paul Smith's purse after the Liverpool man missed the mandated weight for their fight.

If either of us is blinkered in our appraisal of Andre Ward, there's a chance that it might not be me.

declaring oneself son of a myth is humorous, not evil.
