with the guys he'd be fighting, not at all. with the late round tkos he'd be having against guys he should be taking out in a round or two, no way in hell. have you ever seen a fight that predated his fight with lennox lewis?
Vitali was a bloodthirsty beast in his first 27 fights, most of them didn't last more than 3 rounds. He was never the same after the injury he suffered in the Byrd fight, for obvious reasons. Though he made an exception and fought more aggresively than ever against Lewis, but just because it was Lewis.
I have to say Tyson too. Can only remember what they did to each other, so for the lower weights, the other candidates are: Morales and Barrera Pac and Marquez
you cant change history. he is who he is and what happened, happened. because of these reasons and the reasons I mentioned before, there's no way he could ever go down as one of the most exciting boxers ever. that's insane talk.
I for once consider him the most exciting boxer ever. It is your word against mine (for purposes of this conversation I will pretend your opinion actually matters)
Morales, Marquez, Barrera, Pacquiao, Arce, R. Marquez, Israel Vasquez, Johny Tapia and a few dozen more, just from 1990 till now, no true Boxing fan can call one single Boxer the most exiting ever, hard to even just mention a top 5 of the last decade, let alone a top 5 most exiting since 1950... now ever? Rios is quickly rising in terms of exiting fights.
IMO the Margarito fight was one of the most boring and painful to watch I have ever seen, Margarito was a punching bag, who punched back in slow motion, terrible fight, the Marquez was far more exiting, even though it was a chess match, last war Pac has was the 1st 5 round vs Cotto. But even in Pac's younger days, he could be boring due to the fact that he was just so much better than his opponents, his back and forth wars are what make him exiting imo.
