Carmen Basilio with five FOTY was my first thought. Then Arturo Gatti with four. Then Ali with five of his own. Then Mike Tyson and Marciano some time after those three.

I have seen ringside 100s of fighters ,and the most consistently exciting main eventer I saw was Beau Jack who sold out MSG Seven times in one year, and headlined the old MSG TWENTY TIMES...His manager ruined him by never giving Beau a rest, so he burned out much too soon, but his style of throwing hooks, crosses, uppercuts, bolo punches
for every second of a round, made Jack the most exciting crowd pleaser I and multitudes
of fans, ever saw...Here is to you, Beau Jack...

Im going to give it to Arturo Gatti. He had at least 4 FOTY awards in less than 50 fights as somebody already mentioned. And his fight against Ward is amongst the greatest fights of all time

Probably it was Beau Jack like Burt said......but since we don´t have enough footage of Jack I would say Bobby Chacon....
