    Here's my top 8:
    8. Max Schmeling vs. Joe Louis I-Clearly the most significant, but very very one-sided and more tactful than action-packed. But it still sustains your attention.
    7. Barney Ross vs. Tony Canzoneri II-I remember this being one of those tough, grueling bouts where the punishment really piles up by the time the bell rings for the 15th. No single great round, but a helluva fight when you see the whole thing.
    6. Joe Louis vs. Tony Galento-Short and sweet. Non-stop action with Louis staggered in the 1st, Galento floored in the 2nd, Louis floored in the 3rd, and Galento practically floored again in the 4th.
    5. Joe Louis vs. Max Baer-Though it turned pretty one-sided after a while, this was a wild slam-bang brawl. I couldn't get enough of those incredibly wild exchanges between the two, and Louis performed beautifully, ripping boxing's clown to pieces.
    4. Barney Ross vs. Jimmy McLarnin III-This and its predecessor could really switch on any day. Each fight didn't have a boring round, and each had at least 5 or 6 exceptional rounds, which is really saying something.
    3. Jimmy McLarnin vs. Barney Ross II-Basically the same story as the rubber match, it just got a little bit higher today.
    2. Max Baer vs. Primo Carnera-Such a sloppy fight, but that's why it's so fun. I loved watching Baer drop the clumsy Carnera time and time again, and try horribly to hit him. This fight has actually gotten more laughs out of me than any other.
    1. Tony Canzoneri vs. Kid Chocolate I-This fight is just utter perfection. Unparalleled brutality and the speed, power, and stamina of these two is amazing. This is one of the closest fights I've ever seen and to be honest, almost every round could be the greatest of all time. It's really that good.

That's probably all of them. Not many filmed fights in the 30's

I think there was a fair amount actually, at least for heavyweights, but just not a lot of good bouts on film.

When I said "that's probably all of them" I meant that's probably all of the good bouts on film. Sorry for the miscommunication

Max Baer v Primo is extremely entertaining brawl. Baer v Schmeling was good too.
