Cotto V hatton at 140 should have happened it would have been a brilliant, were I believe hatton would have won a bloody encounter because I believe hatton is stronger than cotto at that weight. Watch me get slated now.
mismatch IMO: no offense but a hyped up brit who never cut any leeway where it mattered remains a 'what if' - like a lot of brits have in recent time. and that includes joe. ricky hatton will be remembered as a genuine fighter from your shores who left frank warren to see how good he was instead of playing the 'money game' and milking the british public. that's just the truth.
Eubank Was with Barry Hearn, yes he got away with two much but he was a great fighter and he would give anybody trouble. Have u seen watson v Eubank two and Benn 1 he was fantastic. I am not saying he wins but I wouldn't dismiss his chances all together.
a great fighter makes his name against other great fighters. it's the same reason why calzaghe won't be remembered outside of britain. neither fighter ever courted the PPV market and so they were never going to be taken serious by guys like hopkins and jones. that's the way the boxing world works and guys like warren and calzaghe know this. the reason why fighters are hyped up when they are knocking guys down is because that's (relatively) easy to do if you don't build up your rep and make your name in the US. british fighters (and others from other continents of course - i'm not picking on the brits) have traditionally done this for a few decades, and this is the example i'm trying to make. if you disagree with me then tell me why you think guys like this fail to use the euphoria built up in their own country to push it further? it has always been "if you want the best then you have to do what needs to be done to get him". sitting in your homeland having the locals praise you isn't going to make great fighters like jones and hopkins take a low reward option.
Good call. A lot of bad blood there and they were both at their peak when Bowe threw his belt into a trash can. Of the last few years: Cotto vs Hatton @ 140 Cotto vs Mayweather @ 147 On the UK front, not too huge but I would have been interested to see Froch take on Calzaghe. Calzaghe vs Ottke would have been interesting too as Calzaghe could have unified earlier and had more claim to have been the best at the weight for a lot longer.
DLH v Margarito Mosley v Mayweather (@ 135) Mayweather v Tszyu (@ 140) Mayweather v Casa (@ 130) Mayweather v Frietas (@ 130) Mosley v Margarito Cotto v Mayweather (@ 140) Cotto v Hatton (@ 140)
Sanchez vs CHavez ( that would have been a trilogy) Rocky Juarez vs Pac (rocky doesnt look good unless the fight comes to him all his great KO's have came off of countershots) Marquez vs Morales (War) camacho vs Whitaker (in 89 I say CAmacho) Vargas vs Forest (vargas SD) Winky vs DLH (Oscar UD) Carbajal vs FINito Lopez Tzsue vs JLC
No I am not disagreeing with you but Eubank as been in some brilliant domestic fights with benn and watson, they were no mugs. Yes he should have stepped up and fought jones JNR, but maybe roy should have come to england just my opinion.
I'll add one more Arguello fight. Alexis Arguello/Danny Lopez at 126 Alexis survives some scary moments in the early rounds and wins a close but clear UD, or late TKO.
yes JMM morales would have been great i would of liked to have seen lewis Bowe also, although lewis would have knocked his chicken ass out
Mosley vs Tito May vs Tszyu Tito vs Quarty Mosley vs Quarty Jones vs Mcssjbajbss( sorry bout the spelling, but yall know who I'M TALKING ABOUT) mOSLEY VS tSZYU
