Damn I like Cotto but the 2 best fights I saw him in he lost. The Margarito fight (prior to the controversy) was one of my favourites with its back and forth action - the 7th round is a classic. The Pac fight had some great, quality action between the 2 of them until the 2nd knockdown after which Pac took control of the fight and Cotto went more into survival mode. The most exciting 'winning' fight Cotto had has to be Torres - a real free-swinging up and downer!!

The atmosphere and magnitude of Pacquiao-Cotto added to the excitement, but the first 5 rounds of that can't **** with Cotto-Torres's first 5 rounds just based on what was going on between the ropes.

Round 1: Cotto drops Torres. Torres gets up and hurts Cotto with a left hook.

Round 2: Torres badly hurts Cotto and beats him up from pillar to post for over a minute, finally resulting in a knockdown aided by a push. Cotto manages to come back and hit Torres with some good shots before the round ends.

Round 3: Cotto gives Torres a pummeling to the body, mixed in with a couple of low/borderline shots.

Round 4: Cotto continues to punish Torres to the body and scores a knockdown.

Round 5: Cotto starts off beating Torres some more to the body then runs into an uppercut and is badly hurt again, yet once again manages to survive the round.

Cotto scores two knockdowns, Torres scores one knockdown, Cotto is hurt in 3 of the rounds, two of them for extended periods of time while withstanding onslaughts.

exactly thread stealer. cotto-torres had a bunch of knockdowns, and the fight kept swinging from one mans favor to the other. and all that action in only 5 rds.

Margarito fight was damn near a classic. He boxed Tony's face off for half the fight, and then got mugged and knocked out. If not for the tha handwrap controversy, this fight had all the elements of a classic scrap.

Yeah gotta go with Margarito fight. Then Torres.

First 4 rds against Pac - If only he didn't lose confidence and his game plan, would have been a great 12 rds. Altho Pac woulda still one.

I watch Cotto v Mosley every couple of months, love that fight.

Also his fight against Pinto isn't mentioned as much, but what a fight, considering their history - Cotto was banishing some demons in that one
