What was in your opinion the most exciting and/or entertaining fight featuring a British boxer?

Is it wrong that I have never watched Benn-McClellan because it was before my time and I know what happened to the G-Man as a consequence of that fight? :think

Sounds very hypocritical of me cos any fight I watch could have a fatal ending for either guy but for some reason I refuse to watch past fights that were directly responsible for seriously/injuring killing one of the fighters.

I watch that fight down the pub, blew some on money on it (had McClellan to win in one; covering the bet with a G-Man win), and like many in that pub, walked out that night calling McClellan a dog for quitting......

I too have never watched it since, and indeed would not want to, knowing what happens.

Can see why you're saying that but you really should, despite the tragic circumstances one of the best fights I've ever seen.

I do not know about that, but in my defence, I did not know what happened to McClellan until the following day.

:good A lot of people mentioning Benn-G Man when threads are made like this one so I assumed that most people have no problem rewatching the fight but it seems I'm not the only one.

Can't blame you for taking that attitude TBooze. After all you wouldn't have known at the time how seriously Mcllellan was hurt.
