    I live in Arizona so here is Danny Lopez-Salvador Sanchez 1. Everytime I drive by the building I think "darn, that is where Danny Lopez lost his title and Salvador Sanchez won his!!"

    Dempsey -Tunney 2 ( the long count) Soldier Field. Every time I go to a Bears it reminds me of that fight

    Most famous since I've been alive probably Hagler-Hamsho 1

    I don't know about the whole state, but Colma is a short drive from me, where Jack Johnson had some of his fights including Stanley Ketchel. I asked on another website, and a local historian told he where he thinks they were held.

    Interesting because the thing that made it a fighting spot--outside of San Francisco and outside of the laws, turned it into a city of cemeteries for the same reason when they made it illegal to inter people in SF. You can wander the cemeteries and find all sorts of famous types, like Wyatt Earp and Joe DiMaggio.
