Dempsey or Tyson. Probably Dempsey gets the edge in aggressiveness. Against Willard he was relentless. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VawHgrLvbD4[/ame] Worst, sustained beating in boxing. Willard had a hell of a heart.
I would like to see what would happen if Tyson was allowed to brutally punch his downed opponents when their knee left the canvas...:!:
I wouldn't call Zivic "ferocious". He was brutal for sure, but ferocious to me is someone who fights in a visceral fury. Zivic was more of a cerebral fighter; calculatingly tough, skilled and dirty. Joe Louis, Ray Leonard, Sonny Liston and Joe Frazier were all brutal finishers that showed killer instinct when they had their man hurt, but I never sensed that they were fighting in that same visceral fury as the others I listed. When I think visceral fury I think Duran. I think Wolgast. I think Dempsey. I think McGovern. I think Tyson (when at his best). Stanley Ketchel, Tom Sharkey, Rocky Graziano....
