Finesse def by Merriam-Webster : the skillful handling of a situation: adroit maneuvering ...clever or skillful in using the hands or mind

A lot of skillful boxers who's business was winning would probably fit this def..

    greb, srr, etc

Duran grew more into a finesse fighter. He always had great skills, but once he couldn't rely on his physicality in the same way he became more of cerebral counter puncher.

    Great point about Duran.

The hagler and barkley fights showed it...that spell in the wilderness 1986-88 it showed in all his fights.the calm defensive style mixed with sudden hurtful right counters...the crazy pivots and turns....hell it was enough to school nigel benn in their 1988 sparring

    Locche

    Kalambay

Id hesitate to include fancy dan herol Graham..as the knockout by jackson makes him look bad...but than the exact same could be said of kalambay vs nunn....or nunn v toney....yet all 3 are the quintessential fancy dans or atvleast one version of them....slippery southpaws..

Id consider the peak brilliant defensive fighter donald curry a fancy dan...the elegance..the precision..

Even mike tyson 1985-88.....the slick brilliant defense and fast precision combos in and out...for all his brutality and aggression like duran before him id not have a problem classifying as a fancy dan in my definition of it

Well, he did invent the imprenatable defensive technique of stinking the whole part of the body you can legacy punch through the ropes...

I seriously think he might be the most overrated fighter on this board.

Harry Grebb its not even debatable, was barely hit and had wizard like skills able to avoid any amount of punches thrown at him.
