Most Flawed ATG's

Hagler?! Not a chance. Utterly solid and textbook fundamentals. Did he have any weaknesses? Sure, some - but having weaknesses and being flawed I think are two different things. He could box, switch hit and punch. Other fighters would love to be as flawed as Hagler.

He was never truly 'floored' either.

 

Name me an ATG that didn't have a flaw.

 

he was great, but Marvin tended to do better when he faced stronger guys who hit him hard and woke him, like he talked about at times.. he would mention a punch waking him up, and it makes me think he was a guy who liked to be hit hard or cut to realize he had to fight. Sometimes he went into the boxing mode and slow down and lose rounds.

 

If you consider Baer an ATG, then him, probably.

 

And Ive no doubt that Azumah would have beaten the **** out of Hamed.

Joe Calzaghe --

No doubt an All Time Great, but his lack of power keeps him from being recognized as such by many.

His mind had a flaw he could not beat.

 

I agree. Azumah was a great fighter. The way he came back with Fenach. I didn't believe the excuse he used in the first fight saying he had what was it.. I forget the virus he said he had, but he did fight better when he went to Australia. As for Hamed. I was surprised how badly Hamed looked with Barrera. No fight plan and relying on speed. He was a little like Roy Jones, not as great, but he had speed but he did not use fundamentals. Speeds was usually enough, and then Barrera showed it was not... A double jab would have helped Hamed set up his punches, but he was not used to fighting consistently. Sort of like Jermaine Taylor and Amir Khan. Great speed but not gameplan.

 

Sugar Ray Leonard did not have many. He could do everything. Which is why he beat all the legends he fought. Benitez,Duran,Hearns,Hagler. You need versatility for do this, and none of those guys beat everyone of them except Ray.

edit: And Holyfield didn't really seem to have any weak spots, though he didn't seem to have any exceptional physical tools either, apart from chin and conditioning.

 

Wladimir K is a pretty flawed fighter, despite his towering advantages & great power & skill.

 

Joe Louis didn't have the best chin and sometimes ended up down on the cards.

Robinson didn't have great defense.

 

He would wing his right hand. He wasn't the best defensively. Poor gameplan in the first Duran fight. Average longevity at best/poor choices outside the ring.
