Who are some of the most fundamentally sound fighters in history?

I am asking to view some footage both as a fan, and as a student..(young fighter)

First ones to pop up in my mind. Some of my fav technicians are Donald Curry & Michael Carbajal. Hopkins throws pretty good punches(when they're legal lol) and is good to study too. Hearns also and he probably is the best technical fighter that's a big puncher. Terry Norris is good too when he's not in "hothead mode" lol. I also love the Marquez Bros they have great fundamentals in the offensive area just not defensively.

    Marvin Hagler.

    Lopez wasn't a real person.

Hagler's a great choice. I don't know what I like better...the 1977-1978 fast slick counterpuncher version of Hagler, or the 1980-1982 strong skilled swarmer version of Hagler.

Hardly one for a newcomer to study, though. He was immensely naturally gifted on top of being a technical genius. The fighters with the more textbook approaches, a la Harold Johnson, are probably the better choices.
