Khan. Big omission from the voting list for me. He'd be a front runner surely? EDIT: The list is complete now...
Floyd Mayweather. Wilder's career hasn't reached its 'meatiest' point yet, nor has GGG's. Floyd Mayweather ended his career fighting no at-or-near-prime TBE's, ATG's, Higher Tier HOF's, Mid Tier HOF's or Lower-Mid Tier HOF's in his 19 years of boxing and is an idiot. People don't like Ward much but they don't dislike him more intensely than others. You should've added Khan on the list.
I'll tell you why Khan is the definitive answer. Floyd fans will vote GG. GG fans will vote Floyd. Both of those are a given because of ESB's tribal mentality. Same for Pac and Floyd fans. Ditto Ward fans vs GG'ers etc etc. So all those names will get voted out of loyalty to 'their man'. But Floyd, GG, Pac and Ward fans can unite around a shared loathing of Khan. The answer is Amir Khan...
I try to be objective and I do my best to appreciate all boxers. Hate is such a strong word. However, for me personally, it's Floyd Mayweather who has to be the most negative, boring and over privileged boxer I've ever seen. The best I can say about Mayweather is that he was pretty hard to hit and he was very well managed and promoted. For most people, though, it would seem to be Khan. I don't really understand the hatred Khan seems to attract. The fact is that Khan has one of the better resumes in boxing today and he's never in a bad fight. Those two points are important to me as a fan and I just don't have a problem with him.
It was between Wilder and Golovkin for me but considering Golovkin gets many more threads I went with the probably overhyped - by his opponents if no-one else - Kazakh. Both get an incredible amount of vitriol poured over their careers. I'd also say Wilder deserves this a lot more though. I think Golovkin has mismanaged his career, making a number of terrible decisions since turning pro that he prob deeply regrets. Wilder on the other hand is right where his handlers want him to be and prob wouldn't want to change a thing.
Me personally I hate Amir Khan....cannot stand him and overrated ego and career. At the moment whilst there is quite rightly a lot of love for the God of War Gennady Golovkin it is cancelled out by a certain group of people on here who hold him to much different standards than everyone else.
Without a doubt FMJ. Other boxers get hated on for quality of competition (GGG), Ward for being boring. With Floyd it's usually an attack of character. People still create threads about him and he's "retired".
Canelo and Ward if we're talking about unwarranted hated it has to be these two as far as active fighters.
