I'm not Sven Ottke fan (which is obvious :yep), but of all the his fights that I watched, he should have lost: Tate I (cut caused by a punch), Johnson (close fight but I scored it for Johnson), Brewer I, Reid, Mitchell.
The list should be probably longer. Show me any other boxer that had so many doubtful wins....

 okay, there is no way I get into that discussion again with someone like you. You think Johnson won? The only reason it wasn´t a 12-0 win for Ottke was because he didn´t do anything anymore after round 12. IT was a schooling before. Dig out an old thread in the euro board on him, it shold be enlightning for you.

Here´s my opinon on him and his fights.

"Someone like you"? pffff. I'm just gonna cry

I don't care how you scored those fights and what is your opinion about Ottke. I have my own eyes, I've seen some of his fights that I believe he should've lost. That's about it.

You would think so, and you would probably be right.

But, I actually am starting to think that his hate may have been a little overestimated. Particularly amongst the common boxing people and hardcore fans. Amongst the politicians, journalists and upper class folk there is no doubt Johnson rates highly. Well certainly in America, but I really dont think the hate was anywhere quite as high as we are lead to believe. He still probably wins, but he has his supporters.

Here are some other answers, i think are worth considering:

Max Schmelling - As a symbol of Naziism, rightly or wrongly, he was absolutely hated there for a while.(in several countries, anyway)

Joe Louis - Not sure how popular he was in Germany at the time of the Shcmelling fight.

John Ruiz - You guys will laugh at this one, but he has all the advantages of modern communication methods which is probably better than modern nutrition. And in era where there are more people in the world than ever. And it really is amazing how many i hate john Ruiz posts there are, or at least were when he was one of the top fighters. Certainly on this site at least, there would be more hate posts against him than any other fighter, i would think (it has died down lately).

Max Schmeling because he beat Joe Louis AND because of his supposed Nazi connection, which we all know was a bogus charge.

I despised Hamed...he was a little *****...because of the obvious..his taunting of beaten opponents and those horribly long, interminable entrances he staged...DAMN but I love MAB for putting a stop to all that!!!!

I just said that I don't care about YOUR opinion about Ottke. I want to discuss but not with somebody who starts his post with: "there is no way I get into that discussion again with someone like you".
You don't want to discuss with me? Fine by me.

Since it goes off-topic - EOD
