Most heated rivalry ever in boxing?

    Can anyone explain the Morales Barerra one? Why did they hate each other so much? Any stories?

    I don't know what started it specifically but I know Barrera looked down on Morales a lot because Erik came from Tijuana. Basically, until Morales, Tijuana hadn't had a major fighter or a world champion so Barrera started referring to Morales as coming from Chicken Tijuana which wound Morales up.

    That's the story as it was relayed to me years ago, not sure if it 100% accurate though.

    I heard it was because Barrera was from the capitol and was hated for it in the outlying provinces.

    That's it. Ali disrespected Joe Fraizer as a man and Joe never forgot or forgave Ali for that ****. I didn't find that out until their careers were over and I lost some respect for Ali. That was some back stabbing bull****..:bbb:mad:
