    Hopkins:

Padded MW run against relatively weak opposition, dropped 2 decisions to J Taylor, ugly boring style, obviously a great run as an old fighter but gets way too much of a pass for the losses / draws on his record.

Those who aren't impressed by Calzaghe need to take another look.

Nothing to appreciate? A blind man should at the very least appreciate the supreme conditioning, that's without mention of all (as Slip brilliantly puts) the subtle brilliance about him.

Manny Pacquiao. Analysis of his achievements above 135 really generate skepticism regarding his alleged "ATG ranking". Considering he refused drug tests, I don't rate Manny in top 100 PFP. Getting KTFO by a slow 40 year old didn't help either

    One trick pony.

America was so desperate for a PPV star that they hyped Pavlik to the moon off of a win over Gary Lockett.

i suppose these fights put question marks on their H2H ability...

    Ali vs young/spinks/norton/shavers etc etc...
    Foreman vs young/lyle
    Louis vs shmelling/farr/godoy
    Holmes vs norton/williams/spinks/witherspoon
    Tyson vs douglas/tucker

fighters through out history have been given a tougher time in the ring by fighters that they deem shouldn't. it happens in all weight divisions.

mercar was a very good fighter. tough as hell. the fact that he gave lewis a hard fight shouldn't be looked at as a negative for lewis, but looked on as a positive for mercer who was a hard man. he put it all together that night giving everyone watching a great spectacle.

lewis came through like the champ he is.

your post came from somebody who isn't qualified to make those sort of comments as my examples clearly prove.

    good day to you.

Andre ward. and it isn't even close.

i'm shocked at all the calzaghe comments. but then again, i've known for a long time that members of this forum don't know quality when they see it.
