Was an incredible treat to watch this man perform. Most know he won every fight vs Pacquiao and shut the man’s lights out in the fourth fight, greatest close out fight ever. Glad there was no fifth fight, totally unnecessary and that memory will live with him forever. Amazing

Of course with no evidence whatsoever , you have the usual suspects accusing him of roids when in fact Pac was the one habitually using the sauce for all of his career. Also that he refused a rematch with pac :dunno:risas3::grazy::imwithstupid:

    Marquez is a living legend

    One of the best ever

Style wise one of my favourite boxer ever!

I was indeed very happy he did not take the 5th fight with Pacman (also a big fan of Manny though).

yes, he is a living legend.

Got robbed a few times, including the fight against Bradley. JMM was a very astute boxer puncher of the highest order. Floyd brought him up from 135 to 143 catchweight only to turn up 2 pounds overweight himself, just to be safe. He knew how good JMM was and took no risks with that *******ly approach.

I underrated him when he was active, wasn't until the pandemic happened and I basically watched all of his fights from Norwood onwards that I realised just how good he was. He wasn't the fastest or the biggest puncher or even close to being the best defensively but he was such a clever fighter who could adapt and catch you with well timed counters and had as much heart as anyone who ever stepped in the ring. He's one of my favourite fighters now.

Loved Marquez when he was fighting, easily one of my favorites.

Nowadays he's a hater, hating on Barrera, Morales and Canelo.

Shame Mayweather thought it necessary to impose a catchweight against Marquez then come in purposefully over, desperate ugly little man he was.

During the official weigh in for their 144 lb bout, Marquez weighed in at 142 lbs and Mayweather weighed in at 146 lbs thereby incurring a financial penalty ($300,000 for each pound over 144 lbs) as he was 2 pounds over the catchweight.

Floyd yet again happy to pay out to gain an advantage. Why was he such a coward?
