I’m not really interested in debating hypothetical head-to-heads that never happened. What matters is that, on paper, they absolutely were the best in the world. They were the reigning champions—the ones Usyk had to beat to become undisputed—and then he did it again in the rematches when they were the number one contenders. That’s the reality, whether people like it or not.

    Dire?
Apart from Zyg that’s a pretty good run,
they were all prime or close to it as well, no washed up fury’s and Joshua’s there.

If only he’d beaten a Fury or Joshua.

    If only?
Usyk wouldn’t deal with Quarry or Foster as easy as Frazier, and he’d get beaten up by Ali

I read your statement "...at the moment" to mean as of now.

I would tend to agree. Despite the belts and his position as the number contender to the champion Fury, at the time, Joshua by then was just keeping his rating afloat, in my opinion.

He didn't fight Wilder, didn't fight Fury and lost to Usyk twice. Took a while for it all to be revealed (in terms of his true level).

I take @swagdelfadeel's point, though. From the perspective of Usyk, he was fighting the people he had to, at the time.

Yes yes Usyk is the goat because he beat some bums the best of which is Fury top 25-30 all time at best ruined his career on coke and takeaways and way worse than he was in his prime and still nearly won but sure buddy

Yup, I'll concede that point. My apologies. I should've said they were the best when they fought him. Whether they are now is up for speculation. I still think Fury is above everyone else not named Usyk. Not sure about Dubois. Think Parker might edge him at the moment, but Dubois was the champ Usyk needed to beat, not Parker. As for Joshua, I think he's gone back quite a bit. He was much better than someone like Dubois, but I don't think he'd ever beat Usyk or Fury. I'll have to ponder how prime Joshua would've faired against today's version of Parker.

When I think of fighters who would maul Fyry, I think Jerry Quarry.

The bums in questions: Dude's who would be champs/top 5 in any era and would dominate the 70s. But keep yapping but how much better LHWs and CW are then SHWs.

They wouldn’t dominate any eras. Fury is the best of a bad bunch.
Imagine Joshua or Dubois dominating the 70’s.
Until Usyk came along this was the worst heavyweight era ever

Frazier had a nice run of
    Ali
    Foster
    Ellis
    Quarry
    Dave z
    Oscar Bonavena
Def better than Usyks; prob a few had much better runs. Fury is a bit overrated.

Who did Fury even beat ? A 40 year old Wlad who had lost his ability to get off a punch.
Spent half his career fighting Chisora and Wilder. Went life and death with guys like McDermott and Cunningham.
And Usyk fought him when he was old and shot and fat and still had to go to war with him.
That version of Fury would get annihilated in the 60s or 70s

Big, strong, athletic HWs with good fundamentals? Yeah I think they'd do pretty well against anyone in that era.
