Most impressive at closing distance/cutting off the ring?

    I don't think Chavez necessarily cut of the ring really well... he just kept coming at your and walking you down.

    More closing the distance than cutting off the ring but Holyfield vs Tyson was the best display I ever saw. Normally, it's the offensive fighter, in this case Tyson, who seeks to cut distance but Tyson needed a certain amount of room to wing his shots and every time he loaded up, Evander had stepped inside the arc of the punch he was planning to throw and was on his chest. Tyson, the attacking force, was too close to do any damage and all the time he was being mauled, leant on, roughed up.

    I've said it before but as a 34 year old fighter who had looked pretty bad for some time, to adopt the tactics he did and go into the wheelhouse round after round until he had calmed Mike's fire down a bit, Holyfield must have had a pair of steel. He could have fought Golota without a cup and it would have been like Tommy Hearns' right vs Marvin Hagler's head.
