    More world champions.

    More p4pers.

    More HOFers.

More defences of the UNDISPUTED title.

    ... B-Hop.

    I agree (obviously)...

It's not a battle of money or ticket sales...it's what did you prove?

BHOP's title defenses meant more...his legacy is the strongest by far!

I don't see how hops are so much more impressive that JC's. Hops had 2 big names on his DLH and Trinidad. Both guys moving up in weight though I think that the trinidad fight was very impressive anyway.

Hell 3 of those fights were against the same guy (robert allen). Glen Johnson was still green and not at his best weight. I am way more impressed with the stuff that Bhop has accomplised since leaving 160 than those worhtless defenses.

I would switch Calzaghe and Michalczewski.

I think the fact that the WBO title was NOT considered as strong as it is today (which is still weak-ish) back when Calzaghe won it, also has to be taken into consideration.

From what I heard Hopkin's fought his fair share of no marks.

First, the NC vs Allen is not a defense....but warrented an immediate rematch. So it was twice vs Robert Allen...who by the way is a hell of alot better fighter than alot of the guys on Calzaghe's defense streak.

Now you mention 2 big names....yet you ignore the depth of his resume as opposed to Joe's. Johnson was green? Sorry buy your not GREEN when you are 31-0...I see this is the new tactic of people attempting to discredit Hopkins resume now that they can no longer claim Johnson is only considered top flight for catching an old Jones.

Then you dont mention from 2001 - 2005 Hopkins held pretty much every major belt at MW...where as Joe held the WBO up until this year.

Im not knocking Joe...but ya gotta be serious here. Hopkins reign at the top was much more impressive.

DM held three of the four belts and was stripped in a day and a month.
Why should he try for them again.

That the WBO is not a major belt is only from ignorant US posters, because Jones wouldn't fight for it. The reason was DM held it and he was much tougher than Johnson. Had better tools too.
Yes I think if DM had gone up to 195 and fought Ruiz, he'd won too.
Hell had Cal gone up to 195 pounds he'd beaten Ruiz too, perhaps Hopkins too.

    All 4 belts are =.

You'll find that the majority of Brit posters do not consider the WBO a legit title.
