Most Impressive Resume: Paul Williams or Antonio Margarito

all we know is who was the better man on that one night when they fought. As Paul Williams showed against Quintana in the rematch, sometimes the better fighter on one night is not the better fighter on every other night.

 

It was a clear victory by PW over AM but i believe Margarito will destroy him if they fight again...They say he ducked PW but i would rather have fought Cotto first....Then destroy PW next....and im not a big AM fan and also i loved the way PW destroyed Quintana just...
Anyway PW has the advantage of being younger and could potentially have a better resume in the near future....

 

Even though PW beat AM it doesn't mean he has the better resume. AM beat Cotto who was 1# so i would class AM as now 1# right.
Because PW beat AM does this mean whoever AM beats that PW is automatically better than that person too? No.

If we go by rankings, not only did Margarito beat a higher ranked fighter in Cotto, he LOST to a higher ranked fighter as well in Williams.

He lost 5 times, the only one that matters on his resume is that AM lost to Williams... You have nothing but a basic point of emphasis with this low grade comment. We all know AM has the better resume. Who cares? Who has the better win, AM or Williams?

Although I respect your posts, I gotta say you always try to find something to smear Margarito in EVERY post that has to do with him.

Even on a subject where the answer is quite clear like this one.

We are talking resumes and accomplishments in this thread, NOT who's the better man on a head to head basis. Margarito has a clearly better resume than Williams.

Sure, Margarito has 5 losses and Williams 1. But the truth is that apart from the 3 losses he suffered when he was 16 and 18 years old, the important ones are vs Santos and Williams, with the latter being obviously more important since it was a clear point loss and not a TD on cuts.

Margo has more wins vs quality opponents, so his resume IS "more impressive" (as the thread's subject says) than Paul's atm.

And all this is NOT coming from a Margo fan.

 

I'm sorry you feel this way. My point is clear and concise. I just can't fit in and give people the answer that they want to see. Sorry, that's just me. I told you who had the advantage in better resume's, but you obviously had a problem with something else I said...

 

Im a big Paul Williams guy...but cmon, there is no way his resume stacks up to Margo's.

That said, if they fight again, Williams wins again...he is just a stylistic NIGHTMARE for him.

 

This is the impression I got, maybe I'm mistaken.
Maybe it is cause most of the times you argue with hardcore Margo fans
