Most interesting time in HW history?

70's to the 90's

 

Not even close.

For me it was in the 90s, we had Lewis unifying the WBC and lineal claims, we had Holyfield unifying the WBA and IBF claims. Both I believe we're p4p ranked and we're wthiut dispute the beSt two in the world. That collision course was amazing. Especially given both could look destructive and then lacklustre so it was really a pick em.

Right now the other belts don't matter. Once Vitali retired Wlad beat the other top HW fighters to establish his championship claim. Stiverne beating Arreola and Martin beating Glazkov do nothing to dilute the claim held by Fury.

However having 3 prime undefeated title holders is a good thing and providing all have the motivation we should see some great matches (except Fury v Haye)

You're definitely right, I've started thinking about that recently.

If/when Joshua wins the belts and Wilder beats Povetkin.

We will have 3 undefeated heavies in their primes, all with a legitimate claim to bring champion.

Think Frazier, Ali, Foreman and Tyson, Holyfield and Lewis.

I really think the heavyweight division is seriously picking up steam.

Throw in Povetkin, Szpilka, Ortiz, Haye and you've got hell ready to break loose.

It all depends on whether the fights are made though.

I think, if given the chance, Ortiz beats them all except Fury, but age isn't on his side.

Exciting in history? Not so sure yet, but the anticipation is there.

 

Still not a strong enough US scene, elsewhere it's never been stronger.

 

yeah, because back in the 90's we hadnt fully evolved as a species yet, half the population still had tails.

The Hw s are at there best since 90s I have been waiting for years for it happen.iam not sure of the quality of the fighters But seeing them sort out Whos top dog will be fun.

 

60,s through to late 70,s were the most interesting and exciting. This last 10 years gotta be close to being the poorest.

 

The 90s were freaking awesome. The comeback of Foreman, the Holyfield-Tyson war, the Bowe-Golota doubleheader, the rise of Lennox Lewis....... there was some very entertaining stuff happening in the 90s.

 

I believe that we are on the verge of the most interesting time in heavyweight history beginning this year.....Look at the matchups and then the potential matchups that will result just from these undefeateds.

This briedis seems interesting I have seen him on EURO sport he looks a choir boy but can really fight looks fast and hard hitting .any of you guys know any info about him ?.
