    In a heavyweight title fight, Max Baer holds the record with 11 kds of Primo Carnera, and Jose Legra decked Clemente Sanchez 10 times in winning the WBC featherweight title in 1973.

    Bernard Dunne V Ricardo Cordoba had 6 knock downs.
    Dunne knocked Cordboa down in round 3.
    Cordoba knocked Dunne down twice in round 5.
    Dunne Knocked Cordoba down 3 times in round 11 to get the tko.
    An amazin fight and was short listed a FOTY candidate by american networks who didn't even get to broadcast it.

    I was wondering the other day what the lowest combined score was for a 12 round title fight.

    For instance 112-108 due to 8 KDs.

    people naseem and trinidad were down more in there careers.

    Carl Thompson vs Ezra Sellers in 2001. In only four rounds, there were 6 knockdowns. Not a record, but a damn good fight.

    Thompson retired after the fight, then made a comeback and knocked out David Haye in 2004!

    I seem to remember Dennis Andres going down almost every round against Hearns. I think Hearns touched down once, too. Can't find this fight anywhere...
