Both matches attracted a little of controversy but which draw would you say was about as accurate as dammit? I would go for Nigel and Chris. Super close in my opinion and everytime I watch it I change my mind. Last time I said Eubank by a point. Six months ago I said Benn. Thomas won his and Ray's return bout and the two knockdowns made it beyond argument in my opinion. Was still a good competitive match but Hearns took it by three points.
Pretty simple Eubank vs Benn 2 whilst I do feel Benn was a bit unlucky not to win the decision, he had a point deducted and it was close enough where a Draw could be warranted. Where as Hearns scored 2 knockdowns and didn't lose anymore than 5 rounds, so it's pretty hard to fathom how Leonard could've got a Draw.
I have to watch Leonard-Hearns II again as I have not seen it since the time it aired. I hear some say Hearns was robbed. All I remember from that fight are the knockdowns, and also Leonard having some big moments where Tommy was in trouble. I don't recall a huge a robbery at the time I saw it. I do remember thinking, had it been another 15 rounder instead of 12, Tommy would have been stopped again.
Both fights were quite entertaining and demonstrated how the two losers of the first bouts picked up a few more of the tricks of the trade in the interim.
