Lucas Matthysse is a hypejob 34 wins 32 KO's 2 'losses' Knocked down every man he has faced Clearly the best at 140 Only just now is bieng given his props. Such a hypejob.
I don't think Rigo was a hypejob as such: Most people picked Donaire over him and many thought he had a bad chin and hadn't faced a high level of opposition. I'd say the people who 'hyped' Rigo before the Donaire fight were just right in that they saw his quality before many others did when it was confirmed vs Donaire. I would say GGG is legit: He would start betting favourite against any 160lber including Martinez imo and he has the amateur background to help back up his hype (like Rigo.) He is one of the most avoided fighters in the sport and other fighters and promoters even admit this. Broner is good but it is very questionable if he is the next Mayweather as people hype him to be: So I'd say he is the least legit of the three at this stage.
Matthysse has been getting hyped for ages. I see him as a very legit world class fighter. I thought that was the point of this thread.
GGG by far. There is no way this guy can live up to the hype he is getting. But he has the Wlad fans on his side so if he gets beat they will have plenty of excuses for him.
No such thing as legit hypejob, because if you're legit you're not hype. GGG and Rigo or both real deals. Broner is hype and a KO waiting to happen.
A Hypejob is someone who's talked up about doing great things and has failed to deliver on the big stage, ringondoux beat a P4P level fighter and shouldn't be called a hypejob. IMO canelo is a bit of a hypejob.
Before Rigo had beaten anyone he was called a hypejob After what he did to a much bigger p4per, he is one of the top guys in baaxing
