The last I heard he was in an interview with James Toney but that's basically it.

cotto does seem like the type of person that believes in family, friendship, loyalty. he seems like the type of person that if your his friend, he'd give you his last dollar, and you have a friend for life. i've also heard he likes to go to the fights early, and talk to the fans, and watch the undercards before he fights.

he might be fighting toney? i hope brewster saved his money when he was champ. his style is not made for long careers. you can't always block punches with your chin like that.

I hope not. On boxrec if they're not lying Brewster is scheduled to fight Robert Helenius on 1/30.

I agree Cotto seems like a good guy.

Didnt I mention Vargas? He is really cool met him a few times back when he was in his prime he talks to you like hes known you for a long time like your one of his buddies. Went to his after party at the House of Blues after he beat Quartey, Always says "Whats up LOCO"

Saw Hopkins at the Delahoya-Forbes fight and as i was taking a picture of my family outside the depot center I notice a group of People walking right behind them and I put my camera down not noticing it was Hopkins. I wish i would have took it that would have been cool a spontaneous picture with Hopkins walking by.:patsch Anyways My son is the one that recognized him and then we wanted to go up to Hopkins and take a picture with him and he almost was gonna do it but then his entourage acted like assholes and said no no no pictures andthey took off, I dont really blame Him for that as i met him at the WBHOF and he was cool this was right after he beat Tito and I asked him if Tito hit the hardest and he winced and said no way TItos punch dont got nothing on Anwun Echols shots.

i'm a boxing fan, but i've never heard of robert helenius. is this a stay busy fight for brewster or is brewster the opponent for a young contender? i actually would like to see a cross roads fight between sam peter and brewster. the winner would one more chance, and for the loser it would clearly be down to opponent status for young contenders.

He had hand problems that had him out for long periods of time and then after a while it seems like his skills faded away. In the beginning he had great boxing skills, I remember him almost shutting out a young Orlando Canizales (despite being knocked down) in their first fight.
By the time they fought again Gonzalez had faded, and Canizales was already a PFP guy by then.

i met vargas up here one time in sf. he was at a bar called the condor. i thought he was the most immature ******* i'd ever met. maybe he doesn't like chinese people, but when i walked up to him and called him champ, he started making funny sounds, saying he was speaking in my language. then he called me jackie chan. i didn't feel humiliated for myself, but for him. i mean he's an adult not some kid in grammer school. i didn't have the balls but i should have said that's why you lost to trinidad and dlh.

Stay busy fight for Brewster? LOL more like stay busy fight for Helenius. :p

This is gonna be a step up for Helenius and hes already getting some praise for being one of the best next big up and commers from European HW's. Brewster is done. As somone said here in this thread, his style wasnt suit for the big game for a long time. The Lyakovich fight put the icing on the cake.

It looks as though Brewer is just an opponent for Robert Helenius he is 26 YO and he is 10-0-0, 6 KO's.

Bones Adams was cool its funny i remembe when him and Manny were both Champs at JF and they were standing like 10ft away from eachother, as i was talking to Bones he is sizing Manny up and then telling me man that dude is to small i wouldnt have no problem with him LOL! This was right after Manny beat Ledwaba. Bones was a good fighter but could you imagine what Manny would have done to him LOL!!

Never heard of him before just going to boxrec either. It's just a stay busy fight for Brewster against someone who has a few fights. Brewster/Peter doesn't sound half bad given they both have power and need a fight like this.
