Usually they are in October so you got a lot of time, I used to get in Free but i have not talked to my friend on the Board of Directors for quite a while, should give him a call. For the Public the tickets use to range anywhere between 75 and 150$ you get a dinner and comp Champagne and its about 3 to 4 hours. As far as getting VIP tickets i used to know a few people and they would hook me up, Im sure i could still swing them. Mando Muniz gave me a few tickets one year, but i also had a couple other friends on the Board of directors. I think Mando is president of the WBHOF now.
When I used to go they were always at the Downtown Bonaventure and one year at the Commerce Casino. They switch venues sometimes I think last year it was at the LAX Hilton.

As for which fighters were drinkers well the active fighters that i saw none of them were drinking, Lots of the past greats were guzzling though:lol: One year Bobby Chacon was picking up all the Beer Bottles and was somewhat innebriated:lol: he had fallen on hard times and guess he wanted to recycle:lol: I saw him a the next couple years and he is sober now:good
Bobby always greets his fans with a hug and kiss like if he you were a long lost friend.

As far as Chavez well i dont know if its fair to call him an ******* since he is used to being mobbed. Remember in Mexico he is like Ali is over here or Pac is in the phillipines. So i can imagine that he cant accomidate everyone.
But that day at the Olympic everyone was booing Oscar and he still signed autographs. Everyone was Chanting Chavez,Chavez,Chavez through out the press conference and he didnt bother to sign one autograph, he could have made the time that day.
Oscar made him look bad that day.

join the club. if i treated girls the way i treated some of the guys, i'd probably be dating lingerie models. but my parents ruined it, telling me i got to treat women with respect and ****, and be a gentleman when around the ladies.

i forgot which old time trainer i heard this from but one time bobby chacon finished training and wanted to get a massage, and his handlers didn't want chacon to try anything naughty while in training so they hired a gay masseuse, and when he told bobby to turn over he was scared shittless by what the gay masseuse had in mind.

Just be yourself and you'll do fine. My true love is boxing so I stopped worrying. The only thing is I can't have sex with boxing:lol:.

It might just be Shane Mosley. Most athletes who use PEDs are made into prihias Mosley has prety much forgiven for his transgressions. He has to be likable for that to happen.

yeah i stopped trying too, but there's someone out there for everyone. my true love is music and boxing as well. but i was a y-class boxer, as in why is he even in ring getting the crap beat out of him, so that's when i turned to music, and decided to just become a boxing fan instead and also just use it to stay healthy and fit.

He certainly does come off as a bit naive but then against most athletes are sheltered by the time people begin to see dollar signs in them.

He's certainly not a dumb guy. He's well spoken and doesn't trail off or lose thought like some people I've spoken to (not naming names or anything... Buddy McGirt Jr). He just seems insanely happy go lucky. It's infectious too. By the time we were done talking to him, My friend, his girlfriend and I were smiling. It's like a friggin disease. A disease of optimism.

I met Ali when i worked at a Bookstore in Pasadena,Ca. This was in the early 90s and Ali was signing abook by Howard Bingham (Alis best friend) I got fired the next day cause the Mgrs said i was unproffesional. I guess I was talking to Ali too much. Anyways it was worth losing that Mickey Mouse Job for the chance to Talk to ALi and ask him questions. We took a picture and he put rabbit ears behind my head LOL. I never got the picture cause some Lady took it and said she would give it to me when she got them developed but since I got fired the next day never saw her again.
Ali was doing magic tricks and kissing babies taking pictures.
Ali ever the Joker was calling every dark skinned Black guy Joe Fraizer and every big white guy was Jerry Quarry Lol He wasnt as sick as he is now occcasionly busting out with quick jabs and a combo.
I asked Ali what my name would be if I were his opponent and after about 2 second as i was cracking up he said "I call You the Beaver" (slight overbite when i laugh) LOL.

It was worth losing my job than just standing there and saying nothing. Ill always remember that and can at least say i met and talked with the Greatest.

Also my Dad just called me on the Phone he was checking these post out and told me to give a shout out for Danny Lopez(cant believe I forgot Him) He is a very cool and laid back guy who took pictures with me and my dad. I told him that he was my dads favorite fighter and He asked me where he was at , i couldnt find my Pops so he actually said hed wait and eventually i found my pops, He was a class act and you can tell he was honored that he was my dads favorite fighter.

This was his son, Buddy Jr.

I kept trying to ask him when his next fight was and he never answered me. He never said he didn't know, he didn't give me a date or anything...he just sort of mumbled his way through a response. He also had a hard time ever directly answering a question. Like a talking points machine that's gone haywire.

His dad I didn't talk to. I saw him there...but the urge to say something stupid wasn't worth the risk of getting beat up by a guy wearing a gold ring jacket
