Yes, he's only put Barker and Froch in with Martinez and Bute :patsch

    Maybe somebody like Guzman?

Undefeated, aged, ex-champion that is pretty well known in the States...

After scraping into 140 his last few fights he should find 147 a doddle ;-)

    Too unreliable to book.

I was not convinced by Maidana at 147 in his last fight but would probably be a decent name for Kell to fight and I think he would make Brook look very good.

The fact that Kell actually knows how to throw a jab makes me think he'll take Devon to the cleaners...and lose the decision :D

    Agreed.
Best possible TOP level opponent at 147 who is not tied up with any fights, also brook would have to travel 4 this one because I highly doubt you can get Alexander to get out of America without a belt.

I just wanna see how well he can do when he's backed up. I've got this theory on him when that happens. I would like to see someone on his chest. The Soto Karass type who can walk through his shots and keep coming. Even someone who tries to disarm him on the inside. That's where his biggest tests are ganna come imo. Someone like Mathysse would be great.

He (Brook) fights at the same pace too much and i'm not convinced he knows his way on the inside. Like Amir Khan he's ganna be very hard to outbox. But i worry for him up close.

Otherwise, he's smooth and polished. Picks his shots well. Very economical and precise with his punches. And he's very settled allowing him to be assertive when coming behind a jab. He's also very relaxed, which is good to see.

I don't wanna see a Malignaggi type opponent next. Brook would eat him up. Really a mismatch that one. But Paulie is a 'name' so they'll probably make that.

I would actually favour Brook to beat Berto or Ortiz right now. I don't see many welterweights apart from the obvious that he wouldn't have a great chance against.

Lots of fights I'd be happy about.

    Devon Alexander

    Matthyse

    Maidana

    Khan

    Mike Jones

    Berto

    Ortiz

    Aydin

Not arsed, as long as its a real threat. I agree with Eddie though, Maidana is so open, he'd be cannon fodder against an accurate puncher like Kell. Either of the Argies would tell us a lot, both are super aggressive and good punchers, if Kell can completely neutralize one of those it really does tell you he's going to be top world class. Agree with Slip on Malignaggi, he isn't a threat so I'm not including him.

Honestly, I think you could stand perfectly still and DA would find a way to fall short with his jab.
