He needs to do one of two things: Either fight an elite guy (and look good doing it) to get the US networks interested ...or nick an alphabet strap of a garbage opponent like Senchenko. That gives him some clout to get a better opponent.
Maidana is the perfect opponent for Brook. We need to see Brook under constant pressure and tested. I think Kell could actually stop Maidana if he doesn't get clipped by any wild hooks, Maidana seems slightly vulnerable and can be hurt.
I was thinking this too. Kell would box on the back foot and Maidana would get his face shredded by jabs and stopped in the later rounds imo.
Take him to the States and beat the **** out of Alexander. Now's the perfect time to do it whilst everyone's on his nut-sack after the Maidana win.
Ismael El Massoudi - WBA interim Champion. Would make him mandatory for the winner of Senchenko vs Mallignaggi Carson Jones - IBF No.3. Could be made a final eliminator for the winner of Jones vs Bailey. Devon Alexander - Would be the marquee name. Would take big money to get him over to Sheffield, I would imagine Brook would need to do to St.Louis Thomas Dulmore - WBC No.3 would put him in a position to fight the Guererro/Aydin winner.
Maidana moving back down to 140lbs Zaveck recently sparred Kell Brook at before Xmas Mike Jones wont travel Soto Karass wont travel he just get ko'd at 154 against Rosado Mosley wont travel fight Canelo at 154 Ortiz and Berto wont travel. Alexander wont travel Leonard Bundu, Thomas Dulorme, Kendall Holt, Paulie Malignaggi if he wins, Senchenko wont travel
Hopefully some one that can punch as the biggest puncher he has faced in his career is probably a 40 year old Ndou.
Who promotes Alexander? Is he with Don King still or has he moved to Golden Girl? If he has.... it's a no-no.
Would it? This is the WBA that ordered purse bids for Senchenko-Malignaggi when they had an 'Interim' champion.
