What is the most likely future for Jorge Linares in 2009?

I am a big fan of his potential and I think he is technically sound for a 23 year-old.

But, up to this date his only tough fight was Oscar Larios.

He did beat Gamaliel Diaz who has a win over Robert Guerrero, but still, Diaz is a bit of a bum.

Since Linares has a belt, will he have a mandatory fight this year against a tough fighter???

He was able to take shots to his chin from Oscar Larios, so I think he has a chin, but I know what you are saying.

I really hope he gets a tough mandatory with a top notch fighter in 2009.

Hopefully he takes on a big name 2009, If not he is still very young and has a lot of time in front of him, Linares will eventually take on some big names. He withstood overhand rights from Larios in the later rounds, and took a massive round house right hook from Diaz which looked to me as if it buckled his legs but took the shot well, so I would say he has a hard chin. The only problem with Jorge Linares the now is his defense, he has to tidy that up in the near future.
