There is no such thing for a safe fight for Wilder. His entire careeer is a manufactured fraud. -went like and death with Scoiners -dropped by Dustin Nichols -rocked by Molina and took 9 rounds to get rid of him (he had been knocked out TWICE before in 1) - had to bring in a personal friend (Scott) to take a dive to get a win over a "credible" opponent - for his "title," had to outbox a fat guy over twelve rounds who had been concincingly stopped by Demetrice King in 2 There is literally NO ONE that is a safe opponent for Wilder. His chin is that bad, his skills that basic. He is capable of generating tremendous power when he has a zombie that he can tee off on, but, when he has to move or deal with movement, his power goes to zero. Hugh Fury, with his supperior footwork, would beat him and convincingly. His own team has had their eyes opened by the Molina fight. In order to get him a safe fight, they have to find him someone who is CONSIDERABLY WORSE than Molina. He should just sack it up and fight Povetkin or Wladdy. He is in seroius danger of losing his shot at a megafight by losing to a carnival freak or a construction worker.
Stiverne lost by KO in the 4th round...and honestly it was a BS stoppage. Stiverne put King down hard in the 1st round via a right hand. In the 4th round, King was teeing off on Stiverne, who began thumping his chest, after eating 3 or 4 right hands, the ref jumped in and halted the contest...Stiverne tried to protest the stoppage...!!!
Sorry for getting the round wrong, but it in no way changes the point, and it was not at all a BS stoppage. He was not defending himself, which is the last thing that the ref instructs you to do before the fight starts. The ref has every right to make the call of when he has seen enough- indeed, he has the responsibility to protect the fighters. Stiverne is that bad, and was apparently peeing brown gravy after the Wilder fight due to having a disorder that comes from being fat. Sorry, but this is how it is. Other than getting the round wrong, everythng I said is completely correct. It is on Youtube and people can see for themselves.
I think (shot) Arreola is still considered too dangerous, so we'd be lucky to see him or Spilkza as the next opponent. That an offer was made to Hughie Fury indicates the level of opposition sought...someone outside of the Top 50 heavyweights.
Tim Bradley would be a dangerous fight for Wilder his chin is so bad. Hell,it's a mouthwatering fight for Eric Crumble to get his first win and Paulie Malignaggi to score a KO at heavyweight ffs
If I were Lucas Browne, I'd try to look as bad as possible while still beating Julius Long, then Wilder might give him a shot...
Excellent thread. Lets not forget he was ktfo'd in the amateurs, and dropped 3 times by Wlad in sparring with jabs lmao
