What ATGs can you think of that were limited or crude yet still had astounding success?

Terry McGovern looks like **** on film, but is obviously one of the greatest fighters ever. Top 20 P4P IMO.

Rocky Marciano comes to mind. He "looks" limited and crude but was still able to find a way to win against the likes of Charles, Walcott, Moore, Louis. Much more skilled than he actually looks on film.

Sandy Saddler is another fighter that also seems crude at first but there's a reason why he had success against Willie Pep.

Limited means 1 thing & crude something completely different. Like Limon's style was crude, whil e under limited you have a guy who can be great technically yet has a ceiling. Like say a Mancini. A Haugen.

when I look at Marciano footage and I look at the greats that he beat, I wouldn't have bet a plugged nickel on him against them. And yet ...

Duran had great success but was terribly crude.

You should have heard what he said to Ray Leonard's wife!!

Not being snarky, just wondered which because of their complete difference. Forget about it.

This forum stuff, it's serious business. I get it. I'm looking over my glaring flaws, and I've already entered ESB training camp. Within 3 months I'll be the ESB Marciano, undefeated king of posts.

Is Wlad Klit ATG? If yes then he gonna be my candidate. C- chin, limited punch arsenal, 0 inside and mid range fighting, predictable basic punches, very depending on his height and reach.

Duran wasnt crude at all, one of the few pressure fighters (who people label pressure fighters) who can counter as well as lead and can fight inside or from long range, he had everything dude .
