What are some of the most lopsided matches you guys have seen made? I mean, not regarding the outcome(a la Lacy/Calzaghe) but when going into the fight you had to wonder why they even arranged this match. Excluding mandatories what are some of your most lopsided? I'll start off with this one... BJ Flores vs. Epifanio Mendoza- Perhaps the single most frustrating cruiserweight out there decided to take on blown up supermiddleweight Epifanio Mendoza. To be sure, Mendoza wasn't even a particularly good super-middleweight, and was terrible at light heavy. Naturally, Flores destroyed him and to make matters worse it should have been stopped earlier because Mendoza suffered a severe shoulder injury while getting hammered.
One of my favorites.... Tavoris Cloud, then only having 5 fights under his belt...but taking on 66-272-17 Reggie Strickland. On other message boards I've seen Cloud fans picking Cloud over Dawson citing Dawson's resume...I'm surprised they miss this one on Cloud's resume(or pretty much overlook Cloud's resume).
vics last two fights r.marquez first pro fight against the 39-14-2 Rabanales http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=2026&cat=boxer who had fought for a world title 6 fights before
Holy ****, that guy has 276 losses now. Getting your ass kicked twice a month is an interesting way to make a living.
By now Strickland clearly knows how NOT to get his ass kicked. Thats how he's been able to amass more than 350 fights lol
He probably has more. I read an article on him. He fights all the time and sometimes has to use aliases because a lot of places won't let him fight with a record like that...
Khan vs. the "Magic Man" was an obvious mismatch to anyone with a brain. A b-level boxer who can't punch against an a-level boxer who can. Joke fight.
