I'm not talking about a quick blow out akin to Tyson's KO of Spinks or Dempsey massacring Willard. I'm talking about a prolonged beatdown that either lasted the distance or at least until the later rounds, where the guy delivering the assault practically wanted to murder the guy in front of him, something more akin to Robinson beating the sins out of LaMotta.

Margarito v Cotto 1. Margarito would have seriously injured Cotto with those loaded wraps if Cotto didn’t wisely take a knee.

Oh quite a few I can think of.
Starting with Ali vs Terrell ( What's my name Earnie?
15 rd beat down, Love Ali, but he could get sadistic when pissed)
Holmes vs Tex Cobb, (not Holmes fault he had a ridiculously stupid ref in the ring that night, Cobb was simply a punching bag, it did make Howard Cosell stop announcing boxing. )
Tyson vs Biggs ( Tyson said Biggs was making women gestures every time he hit him, probably he was imagining it was Robin Givens? He could've stopped Biggs at least two rounds earlier)
Qawi just teeing off on the corpse of Saad Muhammad, with that evil sneer of his.
Another fight that should've been stopped much earlier .
A few off the top of my head.

    Fury Vs. Wilder 2
I guess it was to prove that there was no draw in the first fight.
But maybe it's not the biggest spiritual beating I've seen, but the first one I remembered.

Vitali laying that beating on Adamek was very nasty. Seemed like every time he could end it he held back to prolong the beat down

Qawi vs Leon Spinks was tough to watch. I’ve never thought too much of Qawi because of that.

It’s an oldie but it can’t be understated.

Johnson’s beating of Jeffries was as thorough, complete and mean as any, fully controlled beating in boxing history.

Jeffries suffered badly for the best part of 15 rounds before Johnson “decided” (that word used advisedly) to end matters.

Piecing together what I’ve seen on film and have read in the literature - it seems Johnson could’ve ended that fight as early as round 4.

Even though the film is old and less than perfect, it can still be seen that Jeff’s face was an utter mess. Cuts, bruising everywhere, one eye shut and the other beginning to close - you can also see Jeff spitting out tons of blood throughout the fight and particularly during the KDs/KO sequence in the final round.

I think people would be even more horrified if crystal clear pics existed of Jeffries straight after the fight.

A day or so after the fight, a reporter who was granted an interview while Jeff travelled on a train described Jeffries’ face as looking like a Halloween mask.
