I was very young when Leonard v. Hearns happened, but I remember my older brother cheering on Hearns earlier on when he was winning and making me cry because I loved Sugar Ray. He was a hero to all the little kids at the time doing commercials and stuff.

De La Hoya v. Quartey sticks out a lot.

I met my ex girlfriend of 6 years the night of the first Tyson v. Holyfield fight, and I was with her for almost 7 years.

As does the first Mosley v. De La Hoya. I wanted to see DLH lose.

I remember being in a state of absolute shock when Roy Jones Jr. got knocked out by Antonio Tarver. The entire room went quiet.

Holyfield Vs. Douglas, Not for the IMPACT! but for the reason that I was in a house full of so-called adult boxing fan's who were all on JD's jock post Tyson fight.

I was just a kid but picked the right horse. (My first true pick)
made a couple bones that night aswell.

 

Favourite memories of fights I watched from ringside were probably Calzaghe's performances against Kessler and Mitchell - both very good to witness for different reasons.

Fights I watched from the armchair... I loved watching Roy Jones school John Ruiz and hated watching his career spiral downward in the first two Tarver fights. The end of a very special fighter. I also loved the Barrera-Morales and Vazquez-Marquez trilogies.

 

JC Chavez vs Camacho.

Block party with hundreds of people and only 3 houses in the block were carrying the fight. When the fight started people began jockeying for the best viewing angle.

Atmosphere was electric. Party went on till about 3AM.

 

Pacquiao beating Oscar. That really blew my mind.

 

Watching Hopkins dominate the last 6 rounds against Pascal in the rematch , and by the 7th round you can already tell it was all over ,it was inevitable ,it was going to be Bernards night and he was going to make history and he did exactly that . He became the oldest fighter to ever win a championship, breaking the legendary George Foremans record .

Ricky Hatton vs Mayweather it was the first ppv i ever seen and i stayed up late to watch it and remember the excitement and build up to the fight on sky, i was just let down by the result but was still a memorable night.

Yeah it is incredibly infuriating.

Anyway. I was living in SE Asia for the Hatton v May fight and the fight time over there was like 12pm, so picture the pub full of drunk Brits screaming and shouting, all in good nature of course. Was a great morning which led into a fantastic all day session. Shame about the result though.

I always remember the Tyson v Bruno fights as a kid and I was always terrified for Frank. Tyson just scared the living **** out of a generation of youngsters in the 80's, jesus he was fearsome. Thankfully Bruno didnt take a sustained beating and came away healthy.
