Most "money orientated" Top British Fighters of recent times.

    Well Haye has proven he is not the noble knight in shining armour.

    He is just the same as all the other fighters who come along.

    Min risk / Max reward.

    No problem with that - boxing is the hurt business - Haye is the one putting his body on the line every time he steps through them ropes.

    So easy money against the likes of Audley - why not ?

    Maybe he can fight the likes of Tony Thompson after that - you know the fat slob heavyweights he slagged Wlad off for for fighting.

    But Wlad was making millions fighting them - and it was good business.

    So now Haye sees sense - and is becoming more business minded with big money on the line.

    The only misfortunate thing for Haye was he was a fake peoples hero - making out he was different - when he werent.

    Why didnt he just sign with Frank Warren when he turned pro - if money is the number 1 priority - Frank would have made him millions more by now - he would be 40-0 with 20 defences of the WBO World Cruierweight title behind him and worth £30 million.


    So how does Haye fare against the other money oriented fighters of recent times ?


    The ones who will disregard the fans and morals and noble intentions - to grab a sackful of easy cash.

    Calzaghe made a fortune down the cardiff ice rink.

    Hatton made even more money = WBU glory days.

    So just who was the biggest Money grabbing **** ? :think

    You make a good point. People are overreacting about Haye if they think he is top of this list.

    Harrison. The other guys are genuine fighters, top contenders, world champs, fighting top fighters etc

    Harrison is a Fraud who was a millionaire from day one and never did a single thing he claimed. He took our money and ****ed off.

    Even Haye was a genuine fighter until tomorrow morning at 11 (I'm still hoping he won't fight Fraudley).

    I'm not sure thats true. Harrison was offered big money by the BBC, he's hardly going to turn round and say no is he? Only a spastic would do that.

    Calzaghe and Hatton, can't really be argued they padded their bank account and didn't always do the best thing from a sporting POV.

    Had to vote for Calzaghe based on his last 2 fights against old men.

    Not slagging him off for it, i'm sure he got a good pension fund but still a bit pissed that he never fought Froch, would of been a great night.

    I used to get stuck into Calzaghe for his antics, but if Haye fights Harrison, imho, it really is a ....err...

    ...a new low.

    Haye could get into Hatton/Calzaghe territory if he comes up with Harrison as his next fight. Even Calzaghe/Hatton never dropped to domestic level to pad their bank account.

    i think khan is up there his mind says so anyway talking **** like jmm was pricing himself outta fight with him r u ****in serious ? man jmm is a living legend and bonafide global superstar who's fought some of the best fighters of this generation in exciting fights and takien part in some huge ppv shows

    compared to that who da **** is khan ?

    Amir Khan for me. Not necessarily Khan's fault himself (he's a young fighter who like almost all others let other people manage his career) but as a prospect coming through he basically avoided all top level domestic competition (which was quite strong at the time) never won a proper title (ie British or European) and constantly mouthed about how much money he was making and how other genuine decent boxers weren't big enough names to fight him

    whole reason anyone is in boxing is for money. the more you can get the better and not one of you guys would be any different in that position
