oh, ****. if its an open category, then i go with amanda nunes. ive never seen a fighter so superior to the competition, because of both their physical and mental make up, as she looked in her prime. if i was told she was born a man, i would not be surprised. she would beat the **** out of ann wolfe on the bricks. yes i know its relative to the competition, but its still the best the worlds got.

I assume we are talking seen on film, and not in the flesh?

I love watching Marciano, LaMotta, old clips of Tunney and Dempsey, even Jack Johnson (who was decades ahead of the fighters of his era in terms of punch combinations and his fighting style).

But, for me, the one fighter I watch and think "if I had been a pro fighter that's who I would want to be like" was Sugar Ray Robinson.

He was so slick, seemed so relaxed, so languid (was a word we liked from George's welterweight super series thread), and also had devastating power.

Just the way he moved, pumped the jab, the brutal k.o ability when he planted his feet and put his weight into the shots, the manner in which he could box at range or stand and trade, and he beat some very hard guys, strong guys, like LaMotta...a man who was tough as nails.

Simply a brilliant example of what a fighter should be.

If you went to a machine to build the most complete fighter SSR would have to be close to the ideal.
