I've read some say Margarito is ducking Williams in a rematch. There is no way Margarito is ducking Williams. Margarito is on a roll, and he can feel it. He wants de la Hoya or Mayweather, and he wants to make history by knocking out those guys. That's all. But, if he can't fight those guys, he will gladly fight Williams, mark my word. And mark this word also, he will bang up Williams bad this time around.

Where was the fight located at again? The crowd was predominantly what? Would that affect scoring? Nah. All meaningless factors.

I had Margarito clearly winning, he plainly outscored Williams from the 5th round onward to the body and the head with clean and effective punches. Williams took the 12th. Most people have NO CLUE how to score fights. This isn't the amateurs, and activity doesn't win fights - scoring punches, actual scoring punches wins fights.

Wow, my respect for your ability for objectively score a fight went way down. You have got to be kidding me. Any objective boxing fan watching the fight had it at worst, 7-5 for Williams or 8-4 Williams.

You could have said Margarito had won also. It was a close fight. :deal

And my respect for you is equally tarnished, even though we don't know each other in the first place, LOL. I'm among the only members of this forum, and there are a few of us - with TRUE objectivity - that's why I'm plainly stating an unpopolar truth. A TRUTH in favor of a generally unpopular champion. You, like most people, have no understanding of how to score a professional prizefight. None. Either that, or you simply don't have the intelligence, the eye, and the awareness to do it properly, which is a general cause for confusion, universally speaking. Most people are stupid, and most people are too stupid to get anything right. Basic truth.

I could. But i would be lying. I had it 8-4 Willliams. It was clear and decisive. I can possibly see it 7-5. But no way Margarito won 7 rounds in that fight. IIRC, Williams had Margarito at the end of his jab for the first 7 rounds or so. Just completely controlling the pace and throwing 100 punches a round. Margarito didn't get going until late. Too little, too late.

Your definition of truth is very, very objective. It was a very close fight, but to state Margarito won CLEARLY is insinuating robbery along the same level of Augustus-Burton or RJJ-Park. And it CLEARLY was not that.

Duh. You picked mostly So Cal writers. The fight was in So Cal. The crowd was mostly Mexican. It was Marg's hometown. It's easy to be NATURALLY persuaded by the crowd when scoring.

Nah, this individual is a bandwagon jockey who feels safe throwing stones from the majority side of the issue, even if he's standing in a crowd of fools. The truth is the truth, and most of the time, most people, don't see it.

Failed to mention most of the punches landed on Margarito's gloves and it was Margarito landed the more affective blows. It was apparent since Williams had the puffy face not Margarito. Like I said it was a close fight that could have gone either way. :deal

How come the Mexican posters on this site seem to have a problem accepting that their fighters dropped a decision? It seems like everytime a Mexican fighter drops a decision to a non Mexican fighter, they continuously claim that their fighter got robbed. Paul Williams clearly won that fight. Press row doesn't count, the judges do. All three judges had Williams ahead. And just to give you some perspective, there were 3 press row scorers for the Clottey vs. Margo fight. 1 scored it for Clottey, 1 scored it a draw, and 1 scored it for Margo. Also, many press row scorers gave the nod to Mayweather in the 1st Castillo fight.
