Do you think Golota had an offensive nickname when they dubbed him "Foul Pole?" If I'm not mistaken it's orginally a baseball term but then again "Pole" is a play on Andrew's nationality.

The Jew Killer is funny TBH. Especially if he was German.

That's another one that sold a lot of tickets. He beat a lot of very popular Jewish fighters and Jewish fans bought tickets to see if he could do it again. I don't think that anybody, at that time, took it any other way.
A decade or so later, it was, of course, very different.

I'd bet everything that Golota himself wasn't fond of it. He's obviously proud of his Polish heritage, but the "foul" part is making fun of him. I'd be surprised if he was ever referred to the "foul Pole" in ring introductions. It was a nickname invented by the boxing community / boxing press.

Exactly, the press did it, specifically Michael Katz. In pre-fight introductions he wasn't referred to that; in the press to a lesser extent I've also seen him dubbed "Powerful Pole" which is a lot better.

What a great man joe louis was god rest his soul.the epitomy of dignity and class.a young mike tyson was kinder to ali than a young clay was to joe louis. After the liston fight, clay was kind of disrespectful screaming " i sm the greatest" and ignoring Joe.

Tyson fury i recall asked lennox lewis to hold his water bottle for him in the ring post the wlad fight
