For cleverly it is sad. For boxing fans it is good. Lets hope this heralds the end of shitty WBO 'world champions'. The boy was hyped and protected by you know who and spouted off about Hopkins and Froch on many occasions. Champions cant be talked up and given titles. Those titles have to be won and if those titles are awarded then they taken in quick fashion by better fighters. Good for boxng this result.
Because pampered fighters like Cleverly, gifted a World title without doing a single thing to earn. it, are bad for boxing. His fans are also idiots for mindlessly cheering him on. Kovalev on the other hand has had to do things the hard way and is a credit to the sport.
I don't blame Lewis if Bowe wouldn't fight him, but I don't think anyone should ever just be given a title. Lewis was mandatory so should have had to fight who ever was next in line after him.
Bowe got owned in the amatuers by Lewis. Lewis got himself into mandatory position. Bowe didn't want the fight. Possibly the biggest duck in heavyweight history. Do not compare Lewis with Cleverly.
At least Nathan stepped up to a legitimate challenge. Easy to talk **** behind your computer. Kovalev could be a force for years.
This is true, I guess it's the hardest thing to do but agree too and i think its do do with protecting the 0, imo th best learn from a loss so hopefully Clev will and comeback there aren't many that go undefeated and it really isn't a big deal providing you are mixing with the best in the division.
A lot of posters on this "British" forum really are horrible little ****s!! Why all the celebration that he got beat? What boxers havnt got a bit of arrogance about them when they have a world title? He got beat by an awesome boxer tonight so just calm your jets a loss isnt the end of the world it fukin happens.
I'm English so that means I have to support Cleverly? **** him, **** his arrogant father and **** ******. I do not wish him any harm because I'm not that sick, I hope he is fine but I do not have to support him just because he is British.
