Usyk has more in reserve for the rematch, and there you will see a real vicious beat down as he needs the KO if he is going to ride away into the sunset with AJs belts…

I couldn't understand why they kept mentioning the size difference. Usyk weighed heavier than Wilder did in the first Fury fight and in both Ortiz fights.

It was a competitive fight untill the final two rounds. I had it Usyk 5-4 going into the 10th, 10th round could of gone either way and the 11th and 12th round Usyk won clearly.

 

Calling it a humiliation is going too far. Joshua boxed well and had some decent rounds against a master technician. Usyk is a special talent and he showed that. Credit Joshua for taking the fight, that’s what real champions do. Usyk said in an interview after that he had trained for six months for this fight. He certainly looked like he had.

The hype for Lacey was unjustified. And Joe beat the life out of him.

I watched it live and it was a career ending beating. Lacey never came back from that. Heck, a shot to pieces RJJ looked like his old self against Lacey. That's how bad that was.

I thought it bordered on humiliating at the very end. I thought Joshua fought well, to his level, Usyk is just levels above. Joshua gave it his all, he can be proud of that. For whatever reason, Joshua has been built up to be something more than he actually is. In reality Joshua is exactly what he now says he is, he's learning which can be a hard experience when facing a finished article like Usyk. Usyk is a master, a zen type figure in boxing.

 

Most scoring the fight on thread round by round had it 5-4 Usyk going in the 10th (and also shared this veiwe) . I said 10th could of gone either way (most seem to give it Usyk) but 11th and 12th clearly Usyk.

If you read the thread you would seen my comments and opinion on Hatton Campbell. Disgusting result that he clearly lost.

 

On Lacy, the man was undefeated and seen as a 168 Mike Tyson going into that fight, an absolute beast of a Super Middleweight who was battering everyone, Calzaghe took his soul that night and he never recovered. That sort of thing happens in boxing all the time but it would be very unfair to discredit the performance of Calzaghe on the night because of what Lacy went on to do in his fights after.

 

I couldn’t see the Lacy thing for the life of me. He looked awful to me against a shot Omar Sheika, life and death, and Sheika was never much. He looked slow and ponderous with arcing punches in the fight previous to Calzaghe. I thought it would be one-sided if Joe’s hands held up.
