Most over rated british boxing at the moment

I wouldn't say Fury is overrated at all.

In fact I think he gets a pretty raw deal from the fans to be honest. He's done a lot of the things I like a prospect to do - he's stayed reasonably active despite his promoter being on the outer, he's got some experience fighting abroad against goodish opponents and so on.

Not quite sure where he goes from here but I wish him all the best.

Brook is overrated by plenty of boxing writers, but it's his small band of mindless nuthuggers that are worse, thinking he's the next Tommy Hearns when he's beaten absolutely nobody of note. Most of us on here rate him pretty accurately, as a middling prospect that can go places if he knuckles down and gets the right fights.

De Gale is overrated cause people think he's world class already, not cause he doesn't have the perceived talent and skill. Its okay potentially being capable of doing something, you have to go out there and actually do it.

Kel Brook has talent, but I guess the problem is, who has he showcased his talent against to claim he's the real deal? we dont know enough about Brook to claim what kind of talent he is, cause lets be real, who's managed to push him thus far?

John Murray is over-hyped cause he's overprotected, if he'd of stepped up his comp already, he would of been beaten by now imo.


I think Cleverly is slightly overrated to, he's a good fighter dont get me wrong, he has a lot of heart, good stamina, a strong will, and a seemingly decent chin, but what he lacks, is a defense, an ability to box from range, anytime there is any separation where by he's not on the opponents chest, he seems to get hit too much.
