the names mentioned in this thread Ali Toney Hearns do these ppl even watch boxing Joe calzaghe is the most overrated
I don't believe ali was the "greatest," but there is no denying he was great boxer. So how the hell could you say he was overrated?
No way, Naseem was a child prodigy with a one of a kind style, and had power from 2 or 3 classes above his! If anything he should get more credit! Should he have fought on? yeah, but who knows maybe he was smart enough to know he had lost his edge.
You have to buy into literally every single negative spook story that is going about one of the most talked about fighter's in history to believe all of this ****. I dont' think you really believe it. Ali was widely respected in his time. Articles in the Ring magazine of the period indicate he was highly respected as a fighter, if not a man. To dismiss his best wins you have to believe that the ropes were the main factor in the Foreman win, the Mafia was the major factor in the first Liston win etc etc etc, most of which is unproven at best and refuted speculation at worst. To say nothing of the numerous top-line contenders he defeated.
Ali was NOT overrated..... WTF?atsch And neither was Raymond Robinson, either......:bbb Sean O'Grady and his padded record is overrated........:thumbsup MR.BILL:deal
Why post in a boxing forum if you dont know squat about boxing? Because if you believe the words you typed that I quoted, you clearly do not. (edit...just noticed your the same guy who called the Hopkins that beat Johnson "light hitting"...why waste my time I guess??? LOL!)
