Jones Jr even though at his best I think he was a great fighter, there is a slight question mark because of the failed drug test.
More than that though i've seen several people on here basically say that he was unbeatable and flat out refuse to believe anyone could even be competitive with him.

I wouldn't call Roy Jones overrated.. In his current state, watching him get knocked out all the time, I would say most people are underrating how good he used to be.

Hands down Duran lost 15% of his fights and lost most of the fights against other HOF caliber fighters..

I heard Ray Leonard ducked Aaron Pryor and that stunt he pulled with Hagler where he thought he was gonna announce the fight and denied him was a joke.

    Roy Jones Jr.

Now I dont like hating on fighters and Roy had a lot of talent but he never really proved his depth. The Toney win is vastly over rated on how over rated Toney is, he never cleaned out divisions and fought the likes of Benn/Eubank who wanted to fight him

Lightheavyweight he never fought his main rival in Michaelzweski and Tarver

He then moved up to fight John Ruiz for the easiest heavyweight alphabet title when he could have fought Lennox Lewis for the true number one spot

Fights with Tyson and Holyfield fall through so he drains himself back down to Lightheavyweight when he could easily have made Cruiser fighting one of the champions who he could have beat

Jones left too many question marks and refused to test his debatable chin yet a lot of posters seem to rank him as the greatest ever when in fact hes far from it.

Now im a fan of Jones because he was a special fighter but for me he never proved his depth and honestly he isnt the best at any of his respective weight classes ever as some fans like to think

    Middleweight - Sugar ray Robinson
Super Middleweight - Roy Jones / Joe Calzaghe tie
    Light Heavyweight - Archie Moore
Heavyweight - Muhammad Ali / Mike Tyson / Joe Louis tie

I voted RJJ. Mainly because he gets so much credit for his athleticism, but his resume is weak.

Leonard dodged Pryor by fighting Duran twice, Benitez, Kalule (I know you don't know who that is, but look it up) and Hearns. What a coward!

The Hagler stunt in Baltimore was bull**** though.

My vote goes to Roy Jones Jr. Not sure why people insist he's the greatest ever sometimes.

Saying Roy Jones Jr is an absolute glass jawed fraud, that couldn't compete with the true greats is more delusional in my opinion than saying he is in the top 10, and there is much more of that going around.
