Which in its entirety was quite boring. Foreman throws wild punch Ali blocks with gloves or leans back returns straight punches that land, clinch. Playing a tense instrumental does not change that.
Retrospectively, this is correct. But sometimes a sensation is so - sensationl, that if people still haven't scooped their jaws off the deck by the end of the year...
It wasnt the pace of a Holyfield- Bowe or Ali- Frazier I, take away the multiple knockdowns it doesn't have the excitement factor in it, the main asset of the fight is its swinging momentum, the punches thrown are lumbering
So was finding the Higgs Boson, that doesn't make it interesting/entertaining to most people. Johnson vs Jeffries was a legendary event, I don't recall being enthralled by the action though.
**** off That is the best HW fight ever, the only one that comes close to arguing to be no1 is Ali-Frazier 1... those 2 are easily the best 2 HW fights ever filmed.
If in due course the Higgs Boson is proven, how on earth is it going to be overrated? Personally I have yet to see a fight that is overrated.
What I'm saying is, it's a huge event but that doesn't make it entertaining to a lot of people as was the implied case with Ali vs Foreman. Terrible analogy on my part, had just finished reading up on it.
LOL, as you suggest analogies probably should make things simpler. Using Higgs Boson on a forum where I am currently discussing the merits of a fight involving Two Tony Galento and Butterbean, and whether a mythical 19th Century boxer has a claim to a 'world title' as recognized by South Dakota, is probably a bit too much!
